Toby leads Exponential's Tribal Fusion division and brings more than 10 years of experience in the online advertising industry. Gabriner started as President of Freestyle Interactive, an interactive advertising agency acquired by Carat Interactive in 2003. At Carat Interactive, he started out as COO and grew the agency from 100 to over 200 people, while increasing revenues and profits by 60%. He eventually took on the role of President of Carat Fusion, where he oversaw all aspects of the interactive division of Carat in the US, including five offices, 275 employees and a stable of blue chip clients including Pfizer, Adidas, RadioShack, Kodak and Philips. Under his guidance, revenue and profits grew over 50% annually and media billings quadrupled. In 2006, Toby moved over to the technology side from the agency side and joined [x+1], a marketing optimization and media company, as CEO.

Toby received his BA in Public Policy from Occidental College and both his MBA and MS from the Boston University Graduate School of Management.
